NCC Cadets cleaning the city under ‘Swachhata Abhiyan’
“So long as you do not take the broom and the bucket in your hands, you cannot make your towns and cities clean”
Today, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is on the highest preferences. It is a Clean India Campaign which is run by the government to achieve the goal of cleanliness all over India to lead it towards development. This is the biggest hope for the change in India against unhygienic conditions. It was launched with Mahatma Gandhi as its inspiration.
Keeping this inspiration alive in them, NCC Cadets with Care Taker Mr. Vipan Kumar of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. The Cadets were taken to Japanese Garden, where they indefatigably took the task in hand and cleaned the garden as well as the statues, displaying their efficacious efforts and patriotic fervour towards their nation.
Members of the school Management Mr. Sukhdeep Grewal and Mr. Paramdeep Grewal acknowledged the unwavering efforts of the trainers in making the NCC Cadets understand the dire necessity to bring some change in the thought process of citizens of our nation towards cleanliness.
Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla, also encouraged the students to always keep their spirits high and to volunteer for such events in future as well, and accelerated the event. She further reiterated that cleanliness begins at home and always with a right intention.
