National Energy Conservation Day observed by Josephites
In sync with its ways to imbibe ethical values for good deeds and achieve the UN SDGs, National Energy Conservation Day 2021 was observed by the Secondary block students and Eco Club members of St Joseph’s Sr Sec School.
The National Energy Conservation Day is celebrated every year on December 14 since 1991 by The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), under the Ministry of Power, to aware people of the importance of energy as well as saving or conserving more energy by using less energy.
Teachers, through interactive sessions and videos, showcased the need to safeguard our environment and conserve the available resources for coming generations. The School Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla, while appreciating the effort said that the exact meaning of energy conservation is using energy efficiently to save it for future usage. She further added that energy conservation should be rooted in the behaviour of every human being to get more effect towards the plan of energy conservation.
