Technology, it is said, is older than the harnessing of fire. The digital age as we know, began in the 1980s and continues to influence our lives to such an extent that these tools have become a survival necessity.

At St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh, , National Technology Day was observed to acknowledge the fact that Technology has revolutionized every aspect of human life and continues to change the way we live and drive us further into the world of the future. Students participated in different activities such as Poster Making, Declamation and Poetry Recitation.

Bringing forth their creative best, the Josephians designed vibrant Posters that served to express their views in a sort of graphical synthesis that proved the old adage- a picture is worth a thousand words- absolutely right.

The Declamation aimed at developing and enhancing their communication and critical thinking skills. The students, well armed with their opinions supported by facts were poised, confident and articulated fluently on the benefits of technology in today’s world that is transforming itself as we speak.

 Poetry, undoubtedly, is art dressed up in resplendent words that create magic and touch our souls. Aiming to build self confidence and develop oratory skills, the Poetry Recitation was a great tool for the students getting heartily into the spirit of expressing themselves lucidly and eloquently.

Principal Ms. Monica Chawla stated the undeniable fact that technology has become an inseparable part of our lives, especially in the unprecedented times of the Covid pandemic and its variants. It is a blessing that has managed to salvage the disruption brought in the field of education. She appreciated the children’s efforts and motivated the Josephians to participate in all events and activities that are organised by the school in order to recognise, bring forth, hone and showcase their talent in different fields, genres and arenas.
