St. Joseph’s Se. Sec. School, Chandigarh celebrated “National Science Day” for Peace and Development, highlighting the significant role of science in society and the need to engage the public in debates on emerging scientific issues.
The theme of National Science Day 2022 is ‘Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future.’ Little Josephine’s of Primary 1 Block leave no stone unturned to spread the message of importance of science and its application through activities like show & Tell, Slogan writing, collage of solar system and phases of moon.
Various experimental demonstration like Lava Lamp, Electric Circuit, Light reflection in mirror etc. were shown by Middle Block students which shows that along with keeping pace with the technology, it is equally important to keep a strong grasp on the science facts as well.
Josephians of Secondary Block prepared digital posters and videos on ‘Solutions for Sustainable Future.’ They unleashed their hidden talent beautifully in digital posters, which defined the idea as a “development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.”
The main aim of celebrating this day was to make children aware that the science is one of the most important channels of knowledge. It has a specific role, yet has various functions, for our society’s benefit, i.e. improving knowledge and education, and enhancing the quality of life.
Principal Ms. Monica Chawla appreciated the efforts put in by Josephians for their innovative ideas and creating awareness in society.
