SAMARPAN CEREMONY
To mark the beginning of the new academic session, a ‘Samarpan Ceremony’ was held at St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector- 44 D, Chandigarh.
In this ceremony, the previous and present teachers of Classes III, IV and V gathered together and had a detailed discussion about the strengths and weaknesses of all the students who were promoted to the new classes.
It is believed that, “Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” Keeping this positive approach in mind, the new class incharges showed great compassion and understanding towards the vital information provided by the previous class teacher about each and every child.
It was indeed a nostalgic moment for everyone as the last year’s class teachers handed over the individual credentials of their most valuable treasure to bloom and nurture under the mentorship of the new Class Teachers.
The school principal, Ms. Monica Chawla congratulated everyone on this occasion and stated that this ceremony truly proved it right that, “The secret to a rich life is to have more beginnings than endings.” She also added that ‘Samarpan Ceremony’ acts like a yardstick to bring in positive transformation in the students as the teacher can handhold the child better and use appropriate pedagogical approach if she came to know about the child previously.
