Healthy Fruit Platter
“The greatest wealth is health”. We all have realized the value of this quote even more during the pandemic times. Imparting good health tips and promoting awareness about the value ofphysical health and mental wellbeing among the Primary students was the motto of St. Joseph’s School, Chandigarh to celebrate World Health Day this year 2022.
A Healthy Fruit Platter Activitywas organized for Class III and the students of Class IV keenly participated in the discussion and talks with Dr. Megha, the school doctor, who urged the children to remain healthy by eating nutritious food, fruits and vegetables. She also stressed upon the importance of physical exercises, yoga, dance, meditation to remain fit and active. The doctor suggested many ways by which both teachers and parents can persuade the new generation kids to focus on regular regime of health care independently. Both these activities were conducted by the Health & Wellness Club of the school.
The students of Class III presented seasonal fruits aesthetically arranged in wonderful patterns. They displayed their platters and spoke about the importance of including seasonal fruits in our daily diet.
All the students enjoyed the activity a lot and later shared their platters with each other and their teachers. The school Principal Ms. Monica Chawla appreciated the efforts made by the students and she also thanked the parents for their support and cooperation to make this activity a grand success. She also enjoyed the fruit break with the students and showered them with her love and blessings.
The celebration fulfilled its objective of developing a deep understanding of good habits among the children to improve the overall health, boost up the immune system and to reduce the risk of many serious diseases.
