Josephites celebrate the World Heritage Day
World Heritage Day is observed every year on April 18 to preserve the human heritage and spread awareness about the monuments and ancient buildings which make a rich heritage of the nation.
Josephites celebrated this day to maintain the legacy and save the rich heritage which has been given to us by our ancestors. The Indian culture is distinguished from others in respect of its continuity and heterogeneity, its accommodating ethos and its composite, plural character. At secondary block the students got an opportunity to learn and appreciate the history and cultural heritage of our country.
Class IX and X were given theme of tangible and intangible heritage to showcase the same through posters, collages and models with information on different art forms, architecture, monuments, cuisines, traditional clothes to name a few.
The Principal of the school, Ms. Monica Chawla appreciated the efforts of the students and gave a message to them the current tide of globalization cannot submerge the Indian cultural identity but would add an Indian dimension to a globalizing culture due to its richness.
