Josephites expressed their concern towards asthma patients through the posters
Asthma Day celebration is an annual event observed in St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Chandigarh to raise awareness about the chronic respiratory disease among the students. In the Primary 2 block, doctor was invited to educate children and teachers on the triggers and management of asthma. The students expressed their concern towards asthma patients through the posters, they prepared themselves showing types of asthma, causes and prevention. They also participated in the quiz based on asthma management that included prevention and care for such patients and how to deal with asthma emergency. Awareness activities and games were big attractions to draw the attention of children to learn about important medicines and devices which are essential for an asthma emergency kit.
This event was a success which also helped to build a team of caring staff and classmates to take initiative in asthma control among the children.
