JOSEPHITES CELEBRATE COMMONWEALTH DAY- UNITED TO SUSTAIN AND SURVIVE

The Middle Block of St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School celebrated the World Commonwealth Day on May 24, 2021 to salute and commemorate the united efforts of the Commonwealth countries to accomplish unanimous goals.
The Commonwealth theme for 2021 is ‘Delivering Common Future’. The day signifies the need for all the commonwealth countries to unilaterally reiterate their commitment to work towards equality, peace, democracy and solidarity. The various Commonwealth countries gather together on this day to address issues relating to trade, economy, health, sports, gender inequality, etc. Taking the onus to educate and enlighten the young minds to work towards the Commonwealth goals, the school organized a host of activities which included Poster Making, Group Discussions, Slogan Writing and Power Point Presentations, etc. The students spoke about the sole purpose for the establishment of the Commonwealth countries i.e. to promote sustainability, trade, peace and prosperity for all. The need to put up a united front and collaborated efforts to fight and bounce back was emphasized upon by the students. Sharing their perspectives and viewpoints, the children acknowledged the need for all the countries to stand in solidarity during the tough times and work as a team to transcend into a world which is better connected, better equipped and better adapted to face and overcome any challenge.
The Management members and the Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla shared the significance of the day and underlined the need to stand and support fellow nations for the accomplishment of the common goal- World Peace and Prosperity.
