St. Joseph’s constantly keeps on looking forward to contribute towards building a positive community and adding joys to the life of unprivileged by small but handful of acts. In the latest endeavour the school organised a fund raiser drive to provide essentials to the needy by exhibiting an open handed purchase of books on varied genres for the students. Under the umbrella of philanthropy club, the books were for put on sale of rupees twenty only and this act worked as a double booster.
The donation fund gathered was utilised in distributing stationery, ration, first- aid along with toiletries amongst the underprivileged children. On the other hand, a sense of gleam was seen in eyes of young students and their parents which was quiet encouraging and promising. They took keen interest as they were getting open board insights of the bigger class knowledge, more creativity to complete assignment and projects.
As children quietly replicate what they witness it becomes our moral duty to not only preach but practice kindness, benevolence, concern and empathy. This act was a prompt for not only raising avid readers, but instilling compassion and morally boosting our young generation to indulge in acts of kindness towards the marginalised sector.
