St Joseph’s Hosts MC Team for Swatchta Ki Pathshala
It has been said and rightly so that Cleanliness is the hallmark of perfect standards and the best quality inspector is the conscience.
As part of the ongoing awareness campaign to ensure environmental protection via cleanliness, St. Joseph’s hosted the team of Swatchta Ki Pathshala from the Municipal Corporation to address the students of classes VI to VIII.
Through a video presentation, the students were enlightened on the appropriate way to segregate dry and wet waste, stop using single use plastic and littering.
The presentation was followed by the Chief Guest, Mr Rohit Gupta, The Joint Commissioner and Secretary Municipal Corporation and Anshu Chanda and other distinguished MC representatives addressing the gathering. In the question answer interactive session, the students got the opportunity to uncover the challenges being faced and learnt how to generate better solutions to solve those problems.
The Josephians also showcased their thought provoking Nukkad Natak and apprised everyone with their contribution towards raising awareness with the numerous endeavours taken up by the school.
The members of the School Management welcomed the initiative taken by the MC to make Chandigarh live up to its name of The City Beautiful.
Principal Ms. Monica Chawla said that the institution has already successfully launched many campaigns like the STOP and HOPE and stated that at St. Joseph’s – being green and clean is not just an aspiration but an action that is performed religiously by the Josephian Family. She also said, we are inspired by the pragmatic approach of Municipal Corporation and reaching the school level to transform mind and behaviour of young children.
