Brushing teeth is important to prevent gum disease. Refusal to brush one’s teeth for several days can lead to the onset of gum disease. Brushing ensures the removal of plaque, which is the primary cause for tooth decay.
To ingrain this healthy habit in pre-schoolers, Brushing teeth activity was conducted for the kids of Pre Nursery at St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44-D Chandigarh. Little ones were demonstrated the proper angle and back and forth movements of toothbrush. They were shown the steps of brushing to clean outer, inner and chewing surfaces of teeth. Tiny tots were advised to brush their teeth properly and regularly and never to skip as to avoid cavities and other gum diseases. All the students enjoyed the activity to the utmost.
