The students at St. Joseph’s marked the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, by participating in myriad activities. The KG students presented rhymes and songs, filled colours in symbols that represented Gandhiji eg. the spinning wheel and the famous round spectacles. Students of the
Primary block on the other hand made creative and colourful posters that showcased Gandhiji’s teachings. While some students drew and coloured the sketch of Gandhiji, others wrote meaningful slogans carrying srelevant messages. Commemorating the great leader on his birthday, the students
recalled the life and teachings of this iconic freedom fighter. The Father of the Nation is revered for his doctrine of non-violence, which lead India to its glorious freedom. During interactive sessions, teachers also highlighted the significance of the Dandi March led by Gandhiji against the British.
Gandhian ideals and teachings were depicted through innovative activities conducted in the Middle block which included slogan writing, key chain making and poster making. The students also Sang Gandhiji’s favourite song ‘Vaishnava Jan’ with full exuberance to pay homage to Bapuji. A sense of patriotic fervor prevailed in the campus as students sang melodiously to this much-loved song. The students from the Senior classes penned down inspiring self-composed poems, wrote articles, drew creative sketches and made eye catching Digital posters along with short videos on the life and times of Gandhiji.

JOSEPHIANS PAY RICH TRIBUTES TO THE FATHER OF THE NATION
Young students expressed their determination to create a ‘Clean India’ through their informative placards on cleanliness. Budding Josephites pledged to bring a positive change in the society by following and practicing the ideals of Gandhiji.
The Director Mr. Paramdeep Singh, motivated students to follow the path of the Father of the Nation, whose simple living and high thinking became the source of inspiration for many across the globe. The Principal Ms. Monica Chawla emphasized on the importance of Truth and Non-violence. She stressed on the need to inculcate Gandhian values and asked students to pledge to be ambassadors of peace and unity.
