Young Peace Club Josephites remembered the teachings of Gandhi Ji
“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” – Desmond Tutu
Peace is the path we take for bringing growth and prosperity to society. If we do not have peace and harmony, achieving political strength, economic stability and cultural growth will be impossible. Peace is essential to control the evils which damage our society. It is vital for humankind to survive and strive for a better future.
Keeping the importance of peace and non–violence in our mind and in remembrance of Mahatma Gandhi, The Peace Club of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Chandigarh, involved the students of Middle Block and Primary II in various activities like slogan writing, poster making, and book reading, where students were encouraged to read books related to Gandhi Ji’s philosophy on peace and non–violence. The budding artist came with spectacular art pieces. The students learned the importance of morality and pledged to walk on the path of righteousness.
The Coordinator of Middle Block Ms. Rani Pal as well as Primary II Ms. Jyoti Belwadi applauded the efforts of the students and faculty members of the peace club and adjourned the event by talking about the dire necessity of maintaining peace in modern times, which is vanishing from our lives and is a hard task to be maintained between as well as individuals.
