Emphasizing the significance of giving love and affection to children and to wish them a bright future St Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44, Chandigarh celebrated children’s day with vigour and enthusiasm. The main entrance was decorated with balloons, Mascots welcomed the children along with the Principal, Coordinators and Teachers as they entered the school premises and had a photo session for them. Bouncies kept them full of energy and the music with rhythm of the day made children feel special syncing with the spirit of the day though they are always close to our heart as very special beings. Feeling elated when they reached their classes, the class outer boards embellished by teachers, welcomed them.
A special assembly was held where brief introduction was given about our first Prime Minister Pd. Jawaharlal Nehru whose birth anniversary is marked as Children’s day due to his love for them.
Children saw their own reflections in their teachers who presented a whole new world of different performances to them by enacting soulful and moral boosting mimes, reciting poems and by playing games with them. Tug of war, obstacle race, Caterpillar race were some of the events at the sports competition held at the school grounds. The winners received medals and participants and spectators were soaked in the happy spirit of the day feeling rejuvenated with renewed energy levels.
Children were able to spend a cheerful day and visited the green belt to enjoy in the lap of nature which transformed the education by taking them beyond the walls of the school premises. From tiny tots to senior students everyone felt blessed and thanked their teachers and the school management.
The Director Mr. Paramdeep Grewal blessed the children and the Principal Ms. Monica Chawla wished them on the ocassion and felt proud to see the young buds blossoming into productive human beings. She stressed on the need to keep alive the vision of Chacha Nehru of nurturing every child lovingly and carefully by providing the most conducive environment and highest spirit of righteousness.
