Natural resources are central to human well-being. Not only does our Earth provide us with everything we want, but also everything we need to survive.
Conservation is the practice of caring for these resources so all living things can benefit from them now and in the future.
Thus, it’s imperative that our young students understand how their decisions and actions affect the environment.
To create Environmental awareness among the students of The Middle Block, a Rally was organized at St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh.
Armed with thought-provoking handmade Posters, the Josephina’s avidly marched down the streets of Sector 44, promoting the theme of ‘Save Earth and Natural Resources. Their ebullience was matched by the enthusiasm of the residents, who spurred them on by applauding their efforts.
The Director Mr. Paramdeep Grewal and the Principal Ms. Monica Chawla spoke on the need to instill the sentiments of belongingness, to the Earth, among children and stated that such awareness programs regularly conducted in school, help build the knowledge and skills necessary to address complex environmental issues, as well as take action to keep the environment healthy and sustainable for the future.
