Strongly believing in the notion that values are the root of Indian legacy and children the index of tomorrow, a ‘Doha Gayan Competition’ was organised for Class-2 Primary 1 block of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44 D, Chandigarh,
The main aim was to educate and create awareness about historical saints.
The Competition started with seeking the blessings of the Lord Almighty. The event was truly inspired by the supreme emphasis laid on the preservation of our culture and moral values. All the recitations contained important messages and a great deal of worldly wisdom by Sant Kabir, Saint Tulsi das and Rahim.
Students took extreme care of the rhythm while reciting the Dohas. Students participated enthusiastically and were highly confident while facing the audience.
The competition proved to be great tool to make students understand the message in the words of wisdom of all the saints as they all emphasised on various noble practices in order to remove the evils prevalent in our society.
Our revered Coordinator Ms. Shelza Arora enlightened the students with few important tips to be followed to be the righteous souls and ideal citizens of our country.
She further said that in today’s tumultuous times of stress, disease & restrictions, one needs a tonic of positive values to keep our life in balance.
