” Let us salute the strong and the brave men and women of our nation who are always there for us, guarding us and keeping us safe.”
At St.Joseph’s we take our patriotic sentiments in earnest. We believe in teaching our young ones how they ought to prioritise service to the mother land. To imbibe this message of patriotism, St.Joseph’s Sr.Sec.School, Sector 44 D, Chandigarh celebrated Armed Forces Flag Day with great zeal and fervour.
The day is meant to honour martyrs, and the brave soldiers that serve this country. Also known as India’s Flag Day, the day is dedicated to raise funds from Indian citizens for the welfare of the Indian Army.A plethora of activities were conducted to salute the outstanding role of the Indian Army on Armed Forces Day. Poster Making Activity was organised for Primary-2 and students participated in this with a lot of enthusiasm coming up with very creative and innovative posters unfurling the myriad Shades of Patriotism.
Students expressed gratitude towards their veterans by penning down articulated ‘Letters of Gratitude’ to thank them for their service. These letters eloquently echoed the voices of patriotism and love for the soldiers that essentially lie within every Josephite.Vibrant shades of patriotism were exhibited by Josephites through beautifully crafted key chains in the ‘Key Chain Making Activity ‘
The School Director Paramdeep Sir inspired the students to embibe the spirit of dedication, commitment and integrity for their soldiers and sovereign nation. The revered Principal Ms Monica Chawla expressed her heartfelt gratitude and tributes to those who remained undeterred while laying down their lives for the sake of the nation. She said in her message that “We must never forget why we have and why we need our military.
