It is blood alone that can pay the price of freedom. Give me blood and I will give you freedom. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose inspired thousands of men and women to join the freedom struggle against the British.
The nation today remembers one of her most gallant and courageous son Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. To commemorate his birth anniversary on 23rd January, this day was observed as ‘Parakram Diwas’ (Day of Valour) in St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Chandigarh to pay tribute to Netaji, who shook the foundation of British Rule exhibiting his bravery and patriotism.
Keeping in tune with this spirit, the teachers enlightened students about the life of Netaji, the meaning of patriotism and what it meant for the freedom fighters of our country.
Students of class IV showcased amazing art and craft work depicting the captivating sketches of Netaji and his contribution to Freedom Struggle which were not only thought provoking but also inspiring to all. Apart from this a quiz based on the biography of Netaji was also conducted for the students to help them have better understanding about the life of this legendary freedom fighter and visionary leader.
Under the guidance of Principal Ms. Monica Chawla, the day was a testament to the growing interest of the students into patriotism and heroes of our country and to imbibe the spirit of nationalism. In the end the children pledged to take challenges as much as they can and still emerge as winners.
To honour and pay true tribute to Netaji is to love our country unconditionally and selflessly.
