A rainbow of stellar performances unfurled on the stage as the Kindergarten block of St Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School Sector 44 D Chandigarh celebrated its Annual Day ‘Rhythmic Beats’ with great zest and elation. The event was graced by the Chief Guest Harsuhinder Pal Singh Brar, Director School Education, Chandigarh Administration. The programme commenced by releasing the colourful ballons by the eminent guests. The coordinator Ms Shimmi Jassal welcomed the chief guest, other dignitaries and the parents present at the function.
The programme was embedded with a series of thematic performances. Tiny tots invoked Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi through their devotional rendition followed by the welcoming of the distinguished guests of the day i.e. their parents. Little ones showcased India’s unity in diversity with the items ‘My Bharat My Pride and Rangilo Rajasthan. They touched the heartstrings of one and all as they demonstrated their love for their mentors and mates. None could help tapping their feet with ‘Little feet on beat’ ‘Joyful Jackson’ ‘Shake it up’ ‘Pearls of Almighty’ and ‘Dream Catchers’.
The show was studded with some exceptional orators who kept on enlightening the audience in between the items, with their pearls of knowledge on the topics i.e. Chat GPT, G20 Summit, four colors of cleanliness and positive mind-set tips. Some tickled the bones with their ‘Jokes ka pitara’ while others exhibited their talent by playing Congo and narrating the story conveying social message.
The programme concluded on a happy note with spectacular bhangra and giddha performance by tiny ‘gabru’s and mutiyaar’s’ stole everyone’s heart by bringing alive the culture and tradition of Punjab through their dance.
Anchoring of the show was mesmerizing as the big responsibility was on delicate shoulders of tender hearts of kindergarten students . All were awe stuck by their sweet voice, cute expressions and flawless diction.
The Chief Guest applauded the efforts put in by the teachers and that of the young children to perform with such great confidence and enthusiasm. He acknowledged the efforts of the school in shaping the personality of students through a greater focus on sports and co-curricular activities. Finally, the Principal Ms Monica Chawla read the annual report, school’s achievements and thanked the parents, students and the entire team for their tireless efforts in making the journey of year 2022-23 highly accomplishing. The members of the management appreciated the talent of students & the hard efforts staff & parents in making the show a great success.
