The grounds of St. Joseph’s Sen. Sec. School, Chandigarh resonated with the spirit of competition, grit, determination and laughter as the school organized the Annual Sports Meet for the teachers. The attempt was to mark a day of fun and frolic for all. The various fun filled games and races helped to infuse the much needed energy needed by the teachers to kick start the upcoming academic session.
The participation of the teachers in the various events was overwhelming and brought forth the idea that the teachers are always young at heart and in spirit. Teachers from the various blocks sent their representatives for each event. The day saw the teachers participating with great zeal and enthusiasm in the various races and events like The Balancing Race, The Pyramid Race, Hoop Cycling Race, Jumping Hoop Race, Relay Race, 100 m. to name a few. Beaming faces, loud laughter, racing heart beats, quickened footsteps could be witnessed the entire time as the teachers enthusiastically participated in the various events. The staff members exhibited great team work and exemplary coordination of the eyes, hands and foot.
The highlight of the day was when the management member, Mr. Sukhdeep Grewal took part in the races and motivated one and all to live life to the fullest. The Tug of War witnessed the management member, Mr. Sukhdeep Grewal, the Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla and the teachers put their best foot forward and fought tooth and nail to proclaim victory. The staff members took pride in being a part of the big Joseph family and thanked the management and the Principal for arranging a day full of gambol and gaiety.
The Secondary Block of the school bagged the first position in the medal tally, adding 8 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze medals to their victory bag. In totality more than 90 teachers took part in the event. Mr. Sukhdeep Grewal and Mr. Paramdeep Grewal applauded the remarkable comradeship and vigour of the teachers and congratulated the winners. They also extended their thanks to the Sports teachers who put in tremendous efforts to make the day memorable for all. The Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla urged the teachers to continue to celebrate the little child in them and fill in the lives of the children with the same vitality and sprightliness.
