Swami Vivekananda once said ‘There is only one difference between a Dream and an Aim- Dream requires effortless sleep and Aim requires sleepless efforts’. It’s rightly said that some people dream of success while others wake up and work hard to achieve it.
Celebrating the achievements of the students during the academic session of 2022-2023, the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony for the students of the Middle Block was conducted at St. Joseph’s Sr.Sec. School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh.
At St. Joseph’s there are ample opportunities provided by the institution to cater to the different areas that children can excel in. Therefore, according the awards wasn’t limited only to Academic Excellence, that was appreciated but also categories encompassing a wide range in recognition of the diverse arenas that children can excel in, such as the Best Public Speaker, Budding Artists ,Best Innovation, Paragon of Righteousness, Paragon of Regularity , Sportsmanship and Excellence in Co Curricular Activities.
Special care was taken to ensure that students from each section of every class were honoured.
The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a prayer song to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati the Goddess of knowledge, music, art, speech, wisdom and learning.This was followed by a robust rendition of the school song.
The event was then taken further by the student comperes of class VIII, Arshita, Aashi and Advaita.
Mr. Sukhdeep Grewal, Member School Management, Principal Ms. Monica Chawla, Vice Principal Ms. Meena Sharma as well as Coordinator of the Middle Block, Ms. Rani Pal conferred the trophies and certificates upon the well deserving Josephians.
Sukhdeep Sir congratulated and motivated the Josephians to go ahead full steam to achieve their heart’s desire –whatever that may be. The Principal appreciated the efforts put in by the students and the faculty for their overall performances and wished for them to come through with flying colours in future too. Making a special mention of never sidelining or forgetting the most important value that of Attitude of Gratitude, she went on to remind them to continue to uphold the ethics that are such an integral part of the institution.
Announcing two new prestigious awards to be awarded next year, namely ‘ Erudite Reader Award’ the ‘Smart Technoid Award’, Ms. Rani Pal encouraged the students to aspire to achieve the same by putting in their best. She also introduced the ‘ Young Visionaries ‘ a brigade of enterprising Josephians who has each been carefully chosen from every section to bring about a positive change with their constant vigilance and commitment.The Ceremony then drew to a close with the recital of the National Anthem.
