The students of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School participated in the Wildlife Week Celebrations organised by the Department of Forest and Wildlife. Sh. Dharampal, IAS, Advisor to Administrator was the honourable guest of honour who flagged off the Wildlife Trekking Expedition.
The Wild Life Week Celebrations culminated with a rocking Nukkadd Natak performance by the Josephites who were specially invited by the department, acknowledging the awe inspiring street play staged by the them last year. The colorful attire and stupendous performance helped to spark curiosity and sense of responsibility in the masses towards the environment .
The students provoked the minds of one and all present through staging an adalat of the animals wherein they shared their grievances and demanding their rights. The dynamic performance of the young artists captivated the minds of all and was successful in creating compassion towards the speechless souls. The nukkad natak was staged at Kansal Loghut on October 2 2023 right after the Trekking Event.
Wildlife Week is an important occasion and is celebrated across the globe to raise awareness about the conservation of wildlife and their habitats. The children are the future stewards of the planet and activities and events such as above help to foster a sense of responsibility and empathy towards animals with whom we share our planet earth.
The Principal congratulated the budding aspirants for their zeal and enthusiasm to conserve Wildlife and appreciated the efforts of Ms. Anita Gareja who trained the students. She urged to continue to celebrate the incredible diversity of wildlife and promote conservation efforts
