Dylan Thomas’ words echo in one’s mind as one comes to believe that a rendezvous with success is only a consequence of the resolute commitment of a warrior, and who better than the army of St. Joseph’s to wear the armor of knowledge on their quest to victory. The students of Grades V-X embarked upon a challenging journey on 17th October, 2023 to compete in Level 1 of Tricity’s biggest talent recognition exam – TReX Tricity 2023. An initiative of EdNite, organized by Splash Media aimed at the promotion of holistic exploration, talent recognition and fostering an inclusive ecosystem, the exam provided a cognitively exigent platform to avid learners.

A prosperous batch of our brilliant students qualified for Level 2 which was conducted at the prestigious Panjab University, Chandigarh on 3rd December 2023. The well-rounded assessment explored students’ levels of mental aptitude, mathematical cognition as well as scientific competence.

As the students accompanied by their parents filled the Tagore Theatre, Sector-18, Chandigarh on 30th and 31st January 2024 to be a part of the Final Result Ceremony, accolades came raining upon the St. Joseph’s fraternity.

We proudly clinched the title of the Top Performing School in Tricity and held the 1st Rank Trophies high up in the sky, for Classes 5,7,8 and 10. The academic excellence of our Josephians was duly awarded with a cash prize of Rs.

7500 coupled with a Samsung Tab for 2 Rank 1 holders of Grades V and VII, Rs.10000 accompanied by a Samsung Tab for 2 Rank 1 holders of Gardes VIII and X. Attractive cash prizes ranging from Rs. 1250- Rs.4000 were disbursed as we ascended the ladder from Rank 100 to Rank 2 with a delightful number of 127 Josephians. Cash Prizes of Rs. 750 – Rs. 1500 each were awarded to 90 acquirers of Ranks 101-250 in the school premises. The generous participation was duly appreciated by the Members of the Management of St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School. The Principal Ms. Monica Chawla was elated by the achievements of the students and extended her gratitude for the platform provided to acknowledge the bright caliber. To conclude, it was a successful affair that not only put knowledge to test but instilled within the students a passion to compete and conquer!
