Students, Teachers, Staff and Alumni of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh gathered to celebrate Founder’s Day and pay tribute to the enduring spirit of the Founders whose legacy andlabour of love have shaped generations of students into compassionate, intelligent, and empowered individuals.
The entire JosephianFamily came together at the entrance to welcome Chairman Emeritus-Mr. Rupinder Singh and Mrs. Harjinder Kaur- the Founder Lady and Members of the Management, Mr. Sukhdeep Grewal and Mr. Paramdeep Grewalwho were enveloped in a whimsical confetti of blossoms. They were presented with vibrant bouquets and stunning planters that represented the depth of everyone’sreverence and regard.
The school façade had been adorned with stunning display boards that incorporated all the love and affection the family has for the Founder Lady whose birthday marks the special occasion. Vibrant backdrops, designed specifically for the occasion, were erected throughout the campus, featuring inspirational quotes and messages.
A specially curated Timeline Wall that showcased a ‘Milestones and Memories’ display, highlighting key achievements and moments that have shaped the school’s history, was inaugurated by the Members of the Management Mr. Sukhdeep Grewal and Mr. Paramdeep Grewal in the presence of the Founder Lady.
The school resonated with warmth and admiration, as students, teachers and staff shared in a collective expression of gratitude by presenting Shawls to former teachers.
The soulful rendition of medley prepared by the Music teamwas the perfect accompaniment to the Founder’s Day festivitiesas was the performance by the Mini maestrosof Kindergarten who mesmerized the audience with their innocent charm and talent.
The contributions of the educators who have served for 10, 15, 20 and 25 years were also recognised by conferring them with trophies and certificates for their unwavering commitment throughout the years.Among those honored were Ms. Jaspreet Kaur, Ms. Monika Tawar, Ms. Preeti Gill, Ms. Lovely Sharma, Ms. Ravinder Kaur, Ms. Aarti Malhotra, Ms. Ravinder Saini, Ms. Ramanjit Kaur, Ms. Tawinder Kaur, Mr. Prithvi Raj, Ms. Manjit Kaur, Ms. AshuMago, and Ms. Vandana Vats, all recognized for their dedication.
The celebrations also included the release of exclusively tailored Booklets which contained handwritten letters composed by the students of the current batch to the future Josephiansalong with an aesthetically designed newspaper incorporating messages from faculty members who have been part of St. Joseph’s for over 20 years, as well as the Alumni and the current students who poured their hearts out, expressing their dedication and gratitude towards the institution.
The school also hosted a Langar to honour the Founders’ legacy and selfless vision which was an integral part of the celebration.
Continuing the time-honoured tradition of selfless service, Principal Ms. Monica Chawla’s visionary project reignited its momentum a day prior. This noble initiative, crafted in collaboration with The Institute for the Blind, yielded 10 meticulously designed teaching aids.TheGames and Models were Subject based that would in a way redefine learning for thevisually challenged children,transforming knowledge into an immersive journey where fun meets accessibility.
The Principal in her address stated that Education atSt Joseph’s stands not only for academics, but alsoabout building character, empathy, and resilience, She added, “As we stand on the shoulders of greatness, we remember the humble beginnings, the tireless efforts, and the unrelenting passion of our Founders,and we come together today tohonour not just a legacy, but a labour of love that has shaped generations of students into compassionate, intelligent, and empowered individuals.”
