St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh, witnessed an evening of nostalgia, camaraderie, and joy as it hosted its first-ever Alumni Meet. The grand event, celebrating the enduring bond between the alma mater and its alumni, heralded the dawn of a new legacy under the banner of JADE – Josephite Alumni Dedicated Endeavour. This extraordinary milestone was made possible only through the tireless efforts and visionary leadership of our esteemed founder members—Director Mr. Rupinder Singh Grewal and the revered founder lady, Ms. Harjinder Kaur, affectionately known as Biji. It is because of their unwavering commitment, profound wisdom, and timeless values that we are today able to reach such remarkable heights, bringing to life this momentous gathering that signifies the flourishing legacy of St. Joseph’s.

The event commenced with heartfelt gratitude extended to the distinguished management members—Mr. Sukhdeep Grewal, Mr. Paramdeep Grewal, Ms. Simar  Grewal and Ms. Anupam Grewal—whose steadfast support, visionary leadership, and unwavering dedication have been instrumental in the continued growth and success of St. Joseph’s. Their tireless efforts in nurturing the institution’s heritage have been vital in upholding its core values and steering it towards a future of unparalleled excellence.

As the evening unfolded, a warm welcome was extended to the alumni, dignitaries, JADE cabinet members, and other distinguished guests, along with the cherished former and current mentors of the school. The gathering was a perfect blend of nostalgia and pride, creating a truly memorable occasion, elevated by the presence of these beloved members of the St. Joseph’s family.

A poignant PPT presentation, narrating the glorious 43-year journey of St. Joseph’s, left the audience inspired and nostalgic. The presentation showcased the milestones and memories that have defined the institution’s success story.

The evening reached a historic milestone with the unveiling of JADE – Josephite Alumni Dedicated Endeavour. The Cabinet members of JADE – Mr. Puneet Saluja (President), Dr. Amit Chopra (Vice President), Mr. Sachin Sharma (General Secretary), Mr. Manish Gupta (Secretary Treasurer), and Mr. Lucky Talwar (Joint Secretary) – were introduced and felicitated for their dedication in turning this initiative into reality.

A joyous cake-cutting ceremony symbolized the sweet beginning of JADE’s journey. The event brought together the  entire St.Joseph’s family in a heartwarming celebration.

The felicitation ceremony was a remarkable highlight of the evening, celebrating the distinguished guests, mentors, and the driving forces behind JADE. The esteemed Guests of Honour—Mr. Arun John Masih, Principal of Chandigarh Baptist School; Mr. Jatin Arora; and Mr. Pankaj Arora, Principal of Unison Public School and a proud alumni —were recognized for their exemplary contributions to the field of education. The ceremony also honored the former mentors, whose unwavering dedication laid the foundation of the school’s success, as well as the current mentors, who were lauded for completing 25 years of commendable service, shaping generations with their commitment and passion.

A heartfelt acknowledgment was extended to Ms. Meena Sharms the Vice Principal, and Ms. Ruhi Kataria  fondly regarded as the Heart of JADE, for their tireless efforts and unwavering support in making the alumni meet a resounding success. The revered school’s principal, Ms. Monica Chawla, was also felicitated by the JADE team for her visionary leadership, relentless encouragement, and pivotal role in strengthening the bonds of the Josephite community and elevating the vision of JADE.The ceremony beautifully reflected the gratitude and pride the school holds for its luminaries and contributors, making the evening truly unforgettable.

The event was further enlivened with captivating performances. The school choir presented a medley of emotional Bollywood songs, evoking cherished memories. A dynamic Bhangra performance added vibrancy and energy to the evening, embodying the spirit of celebration.

Adding a touch of entertainment and fun, RJ Jassi and RJ Golmaal Gagan engaged the audience with interactive and lively games and activities. Their spirited interaction left the alumni in high spirits, making the evening truly unforgettable. Winners of the games were also felicitated with delightful prizes.

The celebration reached its peak when a sumptuous dinner was served, allowing everyone to indulge in delicious food and share stories over the meal. The evening continued with a nonstop DJ performance, where the alumni danced to their heart’s content, rekindling old bonds and creating new memories on the dance floor. It was a joyous celebration of friendship, nostalgia, and unity, as the music brought everyone together in a shared experience that transcended time.

The esteemed management members, in their message, expressed their deep delight at witnessing the alumni reconnect with their beloved alma mater. They highlighted the significance of nurturing strong ties with one’s roots and commended the relentless efforts of the JADE Cabinet and the dedicated school staff for orchestrating this landmark event.
