The Technology Day does not only act as an reminder of the anniversary of Shakti- the Pokhran nuclear test which was held on 11th of May, 1998, It also highlights the important role of Science in our daily lives and encourages students to embrace Science as a career option.
Senior Secondary Josephians actively marked the day by debating on the topic “If Artificial Intelligence is a game Changer for India” Around 20 students participated with zeal to mark this day. The students emphasized on the world being in the midst of the fourth Industrial revolution and that India must embrace the new era of Artifical Intelligence in the fields of education, upgrading of skills. Creating flexible, adaptive workforce, better health Services by collection of medical data was another concern of our developing technology.
Another team emphasized on Bill Gates opinion that Robots need to be taxed to compensate for greater efficiency compared to humans and suggested that the pace of automation should be slowed down.
The debaters’ who bagged the limelight were Rohan Soni, Simran Gulia for being most informative, Kartavya Vir Singh for being an expressionist, and Tanseerat Kaur, Rachita Seth for excelling at rebuttal.
The Judges and the principal Mrs.Monica Chawla did not only congratulate the participants and the winners but also encouraged the students to righteously use the artificial intelligence.
