A school of the stature and reputation of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh is not built in a day. It has taken years of dedication, to create the distinctive aura and reputation that we all enjoy today.

Keeping with its tradition St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School celebrated Founder’s Day event to commemorate its legacy and success with enthusiasm and exuberance. To mark the occasion the entrance was adorned with balloons and flowers. Staff and Students assembled early in the morning to wish the Founder Lady Ms. Harjinder Kaur, who has always been a symbol of endurance and virtue with many more years of good health and happiness. She was presented with an exotic bouquet and a card amidst the shower of flower petals. It was a proud moment for all the Josephians when the School Flag was unfurled by her to mark the day.

The School once again renewed their commitment to the society by releasing the collection for Kerala Flood Relief Fund. Students and staff contributed whole heartedly for the noble cause. Donations were given through NGOs like Khalsa Aid and CMDRF. Another remarkable venture undertaken was visiting The Slum Area of Sector – 25 and spending some quality time with them. Toiletries, crayons and colouring books were also distributed among them. Seeing them receiving the goodies with smiling faces was a moment to capture and cherish forever. School has also done its bit towards speechless animals by providing eatables for sick animals to the society of prevention of cruelty towards animals.

The scintillating musical extravaganza by the staff won everyone’s heart. The specially choreographed play was well appreciated by all. Staff Members those who have completed 15 years of their service were felicitated.

On the auspicious day Principal Ms. Monica Chawla made a commitment to strive with an indomitable spirit for the School’s excellence. She reminded everyone of the humble beginning and the long distance the school has traversed. The Principal congratulated the entire family and motivated them to pursue the vision of the school and work together to reinvent teaching with passion and perseverance.
