The high academic goals of schools are best achieved in meaningful contexts when the students are provided with ample opportunities to test themselves with higher order thinking skills. In order to enhance their academic capabilities, Students of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44 – D Chandigarh participated in ‘Think and Learn Challenge’ , a critical thinking and aptitude based competition organized by Byju’s in the month of February . It proved to be a unique platform for students to compete and win laurels for themselves and their school. Josephites showcased their agility and strength and astounded everyone through their commendable performance.
Our students brought accolades by competing with their counterparts from all over India and won attractive prizes like Tabs and school bags. Birinder Kaur of VII -A and Saksham Rao of class X bagged a ‘Tab’ and ‘a school bag’ while Sanchit Majha VIII -E, Vishrant Mankotia of VI-D, Ketan Kansal of V-D and Vasu of class IX won school bags.Mr. Paramdeep ,member of the management committee appreciated the students and encouraged them for future endeavours.The school Principal Monica Chawla congratulated the winners and further added that the school adopted an activity oriented methodology in classes that aided students in having an autonomous learning experiences which in turn helped them stand out.
