Keeping the students abreast with the latest issues, Ranjit House of St.Joseph’s Sen. Sec. School ,Chandigarh conducted an Inter House Hindi Declamation competition on 12th July for Secondary Block. The competition aimed to promote the skills off effective public speaking.The participants enthusiastically expressed their views on the topics ‘Nyaya sabhi ke liye samaan nahi hota’, ‘Celebrities role model nahi hote’, ‘Chunaavi Vade’, ‘Manav mangal ki aur’, ‘Puratan va adhunik mata – pita ya Abhibhavakon ki badalti vichardhara.’The participants competed with a talented pool of contestants from all the houses. The competition was judged by Ms. Dimple Verma and Ms.Rajshree. The students prepared for the competition under the tutelage of their respective House In-charges and teachers. The stage was conducted by Ayachi Samyal, Advait Gautam and Jasjot Singh. The contest witnessed a neck to neck struggle of dexterous articulation between participants. While declaring the results, the judges stated that the contestants from all the houses were well prepared and performed amazing well. Purnima Luthra of Tagore House bagged first position whereas Ruchika of RAMAN and Gursirat Kaur of RANJIT house and Abhay Pratap Singh of Ashoka House got second and third positions respectively.
Principal Ms. Monica Chawla patted the participants and mentioned that the objective behind these activities is to hone the speaking skills of students and to boost their confidence.
