The students of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44 D, Chandigarh celebrated Krishna Janamashtami by paying obeisance to the almighty in ISKCON temple, along with their teachers. All the students entered the temple premises with folded hands and bowed before the huge and splendid idols of Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha. They were amused to hear the interesting anecdotes of Krishna’s life, narrated to them. The stories of mischief and bravery of Krishna i.e. maakhan chori, Goverdhan pooja, Kansa Vadh impressed them the most. ‘Krishna-Sudama milan’ episode taught them the meaning of a true friendship. The little devotees swayed along with the melodious hymns. They also chanted ‘Radhe-Radhe, Krishna-Krishna’ and danced to the beats of dholak being played by the priests over there. At the time of departure they received Prasaad as the blessings of God.
