A school of the stature and reputation of St Joseph’s Sr Sec School, Sector 44D, Chandigarh, is not built in a day. It has taken years of dedication to create the distinctive aura and reputation that is enjoyed today. Keeping up its tradition the school celebrated its Founder’s Day event to commemorate its legacy and success with enthusiasm and exuberance.To mark the occasion the entrance was adorned with flowers and balloons. Staff and students assembled early in the morning to wish the Founder Lady, Mrs. Harjinder Kaur, who has always been a symbol of endurance and virtue with many more years of good health and happiness. She was presented with bouquets and cards amidst the shower of flower petals. It is rightly said, “Happiness increases manifold when you share it with others”. The school once again renewed their commitment to the society “ Noble Deeds through Noble Souls” – A Campaign by St. Joseph’s was launched to mark the Founder’s Day 2019.As a part of this campaign,a genuine effort named as ‘Each One –Reach One”was made to extend a helping hand to the underprevilaged section of the society by distributing gifts through school’s Wall Of Kindness. Seeing them receiving the goodies with smiling faces was a moment to capture and cherish forever.“Sharing Beyond School Walls”, a collaboration was done with Govt. School, Sector 44 B students for myriad Art and Craft Competitions. Various events like Poster Making on Organ Donation, Rangoli Making and Slogan Writing on the topic Water Conservation were conducted to commemorate the day.Another remarkable venture undertaken was the visit to the Old Age Home in Sector 15, Chandigarh and spending some quality time with them . Kitchen appliances like induction stoves and eatables were also distributed among the old residents.The young josephites has also done its bit towards speechless animals by providing eatables for sick animals through the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).A scintillating musical extravaganza by the staff won everyone’s heart. The specially Choreographed play was well appreciated by all. On the auspicious day Principal Monica Chawla made a commitment to strive with an indomitable spirit for the school’s excellence. Management members Sukhdeep Sir & Paramdeep Sir reminded everyone of the humble beginning and the long distance the school has traversed and reminisced about the progress the school has made during all these years.
