The students of Primary II Block of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44-D Chandigarh carried out a rally on the ‘Preservation of Ozone Layer.’

The purpose of the rally was to create awareness among the residents of the surrounding areas about the need to protect this fragile shield of gas which protects the Earth from the harmful ultraviolet radiations.

Holding thought provoking posters, placards and banners in bright colours,  students marched through the main thoroughfares. The students vociferated slogans carrying messages- “Ozone just not a layer but a protector”, “Save Ozone, our planet’s safe zone”, “Every Ozone hole is a threat to our soul” etc. urging people to become environment friendly .

The principal Ms. Monica  Chawla appreciated the students for their valuable contribution to make this day a great learning experience.
