A few days at the Scout and Guide camp life are worth few months of theoretical teaching in the meeting or class room. This adventure and experience is not only for fun and entertainment but is also for education. By keeping the spirit of unity and sharing a Scout and Guide camp was held at Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda which was attended by a team of sixteen students of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec School led by Scout master Mr. Vipan and Guide Master Ms. Taran which represented Chandigarh Region at National Integration Camp of Scouts and Guides.
Once again there was a spirit of celebration in the Campus as the team returned with Ist position in showcasing the Festivals of India and 3rd position in the State Exposition of handicrafts. At the camp they organized many events like folk dances and songs, Camp fire, Food Fiesta for showing delicacies of all the ragions alongwith Exposition and showcasing of Indian festivals.
The participants were praised by one and all especially the leader of the camp, Mr. Billu Goswami for their energetic, vibrant, dedicated and out of the box performances. A Josphian Guide Shreya Chawla also got a privilege to make the august gathering take a pledge on ‘No single use plastic to save Planet Earth’ on the concluding day.
Considering ‘Gratitude as the last attitude’, Josphites presented handmade token of thanks to all the officials , the Principal of hosting organization for all the care, guidance, learning they gathered during the camp. So just like previous year, this year too Josphites returned with a bag full of blessings, diverse learnings and awards to cherish throughout their lives.
