Shreya Chawla a class XI (Science Stream) meritorious, proactive Josephite bagged a note worthy achievement in ‘Bio-Medicathon 2020’ organised by Biomedical Instrument and Device Hub PGIMER, Chandigarh a platform where 23 teams from North India participated. Shreya Chawla had a cutting edge as she safeguarded arduous victory by being accorded with 3rd award, cash prize of Rs. 2000/- and propelling Internship at PGIMER. The ‘Biomedicathon 2020’ was promotion of medical sciences amongst the young aspiring learners.
With regard to plethora of projects presented in front of the jury, Shreya Chawla was applauded for her plan of “HOSPI-GO”-the right path to follow is a web mapping application for hospitals. The app aims at reducing the problems that are faced by people during their hospital visit. Shreya quoted that ‘the app is imperative as it will not only ease people in the times of adversity but will also help in providing easy directions and systematic proceedings’. Hence, aiding people’s visit rather than being cajoled to give up or bewildered wandering . Apart from the superfluous idea of developing an app Shreya also shared another app ‘MEDIDOX’ which is the suitable application for storage and analysis of medical documents. As, it is witnessed that chronic patients carry their old records and medical history which is quite taxing. The app aims to be prerogative as the patient’s details would be stored in it. The details would be easily available as and when needed putting an end to the mammoth task.
Shreya Chawla was ecstatic on her achievement and displayed her dauntless efforts for an edifying victory. Mr. Rupinder Singh Gerewal, Director of the school appreciated Shreya’s astounding victory . Sir said that problem solving skill is what future industry would be looking for. So having your personality on these lines will surely ensure a bright future.
