GANDHISM AND ME – BY JOSEPHIANS

St. Joseph’s Sen. Sec. School’s Secondary Block celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by involving young students in different competitions like ‘Short Video Making’ and ‘Gandhism and Me’ through online entries only. Educators gave a talk on the importance of trust and harmony in our lives. Also observed as International Peace Day across the globe, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi falls on October 2.Under ‘Gandhism and Me, Josephians presented their views on the ‘Impact of Mahatma Gandhi’s ideologies on Modern Era’ by writing essays, articles, self-composed poems and letters. Students unleashed their hidden talent by making meaningful videos on the ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi and their relevance in today’s age. The students participated enthusiastically and showcased their talents.
The Ist positions in ‘Gandhism and Me’ were bagged by Ruchika (XB) and Mahi Sharma (IX A) for their creative skills whereas in ‘Short Video Making’ Purnima Luthra (XF) and Aayush Ghai (IXC) became proud winners by securing Ist Positions. The judgements were based on content, creativity, expression, fluency and presentation. Principal Ms. Monica Chawla congratulated the winners and stressed upon the students to become the ambassadors of peace in spreading the message and philosophy of Gandhi Ji. She said that the Gandhian Philosophy is more relevant in the present day and age. She emphasized upon following the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi to achieve world peace and social equality-priceless world indeed.
