Carrying forward the tradition of peace, security, non-violence, providing solutions for international economic, social, cultural and humanitarian problems and to promote respect for human rights Middle Block of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector-44-D celebrated the birth anniversary of UN Day to commemorate United Nations Day which marks the launch of the United Nations Charter in 1945.
Various virtual activities and competitions were conducted for the students of classes VI, VII, and VIII that added new charm to the celebrations as they were the real feast to the eyes. Students participated enthusiastically in all the competitions organized by the school. They presented meaningful and innovative pieces of art to spread the message of Universal Love and Peace.
Students of Class VI added colours to this celebration by making beautiful and colourful posters, charts and collages on “UNICEF’s role in promoting and supporting the Convention on the Rights of the Children. Through this activity they could add up their knowledge regarding the steps taken by UNICEF for the upliftment of the children around the world. Senenth Class students held a Talk Show on “Universal Human Rights” declared by UN.
They enthralled the aura of celebration with their motivating words making the others also aware about their universal rights. Spreading the message of Peace and Equality the students of Class VIII helped the needy and the downtrodden by offering them food, clothes, books and other basic necessities to help them.
Teachers too enriched the students with their inspirational words and thought provoking quotes related to the charters of the UN and its working.Students were more than happy to get drenched with the knowledge of the working and charters of the UN.
Last but not the least, the Principal of the institute, Mrs. Monica Chawla, concluded the event and the celebrations with her highly motivating words to appreciate the efforts of the participants and showered blessings on the students for successfully spreading the message of peace, security, non-violence and the universal human rights. She congratulated the winners and motivated the other participants to come up as winners the next time
