Topic – Animals, Our Friends
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated”. Keeping this inspirational thought in the mind a learning activity Symposium on animals was organised for the class – 1 students of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44, Chandigarh. The main objective of organising it was to sensitise the children about usefulness of the animals and to bring awareness about love and care for other living things.
The show was started with an animal – friendly pledge where students enthusiastically took the responsibilities of protecting animals around them. Students were dressed up as their favourite animals. They spoke interesting facts about those incredible creatures. The scenic props, painted faces and headgears created a veritable jungle on the virtual stage.
It was a thrilling experience for the little Josephians as it left an informative trail about animals in their expansive minds. It helped in enhancing the imagination, verbal proficiency of the students and shaping their moral compass. It was an innovative way to educate and entertain the students and making them appreciate the wonders of animal life.
Block coordinator Ms. Shelza Arora appreciated the earnest efforts of students and their educators and thanked the parents for their unwavering support and cooperation.
