NATIONAL LEVEL FIRST RUNNERS UP
Green Rating for integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) council with its partners TERI and MNRE hosted the 12th annual summit inaugurated virtually by the honourable Vice President of India. He congratulated GRIHA for launching an upgraded rating system and stressed on the need of accelerating the process of total decarbonization of the built environment and become more sustainable and climate resilient.
St. Joseph’s Sr Sec School became part of this mission by winning the first runner up position in the entire nation recently with a mission statement comprising 3 Is that can heal the environment i.e. Intent, Implement and Impact; with an aim to enhance resource efficiency and increase the green footprint across India.
The team of four science teachers of the secondary block led by the earnest Principal of the school Ms Monica Chawla strongly believed that economy and ecology can co-exist and if we start moving on the right track, we can achieve the desired results in green and sustainable environment practices sooner than anticipated timeline.
The Director Mr. Rupinder Grewal along with management members of the school Mr. Sukhdeep Grewal, and Mr. Paramdeep Grewal congratulated the team and appreciated the creativity and innovation that is yielding desired results and adding to the glory of the school.
