St Joseph’s Sr. Sec School won the first position in the coveted Wipro Earthian Program as the results got declared on January 29,2021. A team of ten students from X B and the Science teacher Ms. Shivani who mentored the students presented a report on the topic “Sustainability and Water’ that was selected amongst all the entries made by UT schools. There were topics like Sustainability and Waste, Sustainability and Biodiversity and Sustainability and water to name a few; out of these the project submitted by Josephians was adjudged the best and received applause and first position.

The winning team not only received certificates and cloth pouches but also received an invitation to participate in June 2021 program.

Wipro Earthian is one of India’s largest annual sustainability education program for schools and colleges, designed to act as a catalyst for fostering excellence in sustainability thinking and action amongst youth. The program maintains a continuous engagement with the winning institutions, faculty, and students at multiple levels to strengthen sustainability education.

The Principal, Ms Monica Chawla while appreciating the efforts of the team emphasised on the fact that this will provide all the Josephians to take new initiatives and work for betterment of the environment along with learning.

The Director Mr. Rupinder Grewal along with management members of the school Mr. Sukhdeep Grewal, and Mr. Paramdeep Grewal congratulated the team and appreciated the creativity and innovation that is yielding desired results and adding to the glory of the school.
