A webinar was organized at St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec School, Sector 44 D, Chandigarh in the Primary 2 block for the students of Class IV and V on one of the most difficult life skills that the students need to learn during this pandemic is the ‘ Stress Management’ and how they can cope up with the Examination Stress.
The school counsellor Ms. Ramneek Kaur emphasized on the importance to exercise regularly, to study more effectively and to manage time wisely. She further stressed that a healthy diet and a good sleep play a vital role as stress relievers.
The students were explained that exam stress comes from the pressure of getting good marks, high expectations of parents, competitiveness etc and how this may lead to loss of appetite, loss of memory concentration and nervousness.
Several valuable tips to release exam stress were also explained like plan your study, schedule your subjects, lead a disciplined life. Certain exercises that help to improve concentration like deep breathing, stretching, listening to music etc. were recommended. Unnecessary, over use of mobile and laptops should be avoided.
The webinar concluded with an interactive session where students enthusiastically put forth their queries which were very well tackled and answered by the counsellor.
