” Green Good Deeds”
‘The only way forward, if we are going to improve the quality of the environment, is to get everybody involved.’
Environment is the most important aspect to survive on this planet. Humans tend to forget that without a balanced environment, life cannot be sustained. Hence to spread awareness and make students understand that a small positive initiative taken by each person can make big changes, a plethora of ‘Green Good Deeds’ activities were conducted by the students of the Middle Block of St. Joseph’s amidst great zest ,vibrancy and elation to commemorate ‘Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ to mark the 75th anniversary of Indian independence.
Keeping the spirit of inculcating values of compassion, empathy and love for nature, the students of Class VI made beautiful and colourful pots, pen pencil holders, tissue holders and piggy banks. These eco friendly activities taught the children not only to be environment friendly but also quenched their creative thirst and helped in their holistic development as well.
To protect the environment, discussion sessions in the form of question and answers were also held. The teacher meticulously explained everything in detail to the students and the session was pleasant and explanatory.
Principal Ms.Monica Chawla who is innovative, a visionary and an excellent orator appreciated the efforts of students and motivated them to keep the flame of enthusiasm burning.
