An Empathetic Deed- The Wall of Kindness

They say that if you are looking for ways to heal yourself, then kindness towards others is your best option. A helping hand, a warm hug, an extended smile, words filled with compassion and empathy is all that you need to bring sunshine in the lives of others. St. Joseph’s Senior ‘Secondary School strongly believes in the virtue of philanthropy and is at a constant endeavour to nurture sensitive and empathetic beings. The school in collaboration with Sociopreneur ID, Indonesia and Yuvsatta took yet another step towards creating a benevolent society. The initiative was taken under the Empathy Project launched across the world by Sociopreneur ID, marking the celebration of Empathy Week.

The Josephians set up a “Wall of Kindness” outside the School premises, whereby clothes and other essentials were put up to be given to the less fortunate of the society. The act was driven by the simple motive to bridge the gap between the haves and the have nots and aimed to reach out to the maximum number of people. The beauty of this wonderful undertaking lies in the fact that the receivers get an opportunity to choose as per their needs. The students reveled in bliss of the joy as they witnessed the smiling faces and eyes filled with gratitude. The joyous receivers blessed the students and praised the school for fostering philanthropy. The children experienced contentment of sharing and being able to bring joy in the lives of others.

The Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla took pride in the successful execution of the Act of Kindness by the enthusiastic students and encouraged them to continue in their endevour and earnestness to make this world a happy place for all.
