JOSEPHIANS FORTIFY THE UNBREAKABLE BONDS
At St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh the occasion of RakshaBandhan provides considerable scope for the students to showcase their love and affection.. Traditionally, siblings celebrate RakshaBandhan and promise to protect each other. However, this year, apart from the customary activities involving the crafting of bright and vibrant handmade Rakhis, decoration of Rakhi Thalis as well as making Cards, the Josephians took the concept of protection to a broader canvas and made the most of this wonderful opportunity by inviting their ‘Buddies’ from Dhanas school, under the Girls India Project, to be a part of their festivities.
A special programme was held at St. Joseph’s on Saturday, keeping all Covid protocols in check. The invitees were graciously welcomed with tiaras and sashes. Each girl tied a Rakhi on her Buddy’s wrist as a symbol of friendship and care. One Minute Games organised for them were a great hit.The Buddies were assigned the care of a Medicinal Plant and pledged to carry forward the project. They all received mementos before leaving. Principal of the Dhanas school was also presented with a planter. Principal Ms. Chawla thanked her whole team and appreciated their efforts for the grand preparations .
