JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONS AT ST. JOSEPH’S

To seek the blessings of LORD KRISHNA, the pupils of ST. JOSEPH’S SEN. SEC. SCHOOL, CHANDIGARH celebrated ‘JANAMASTHAMI’ with pomp and festivity. The celebrations were carried out on a virtual platform and did not dampen the spirits of the young students who participated with great enthusiasm.

Little devotees of the Kindergarten block, along with their mentors, performed myriad activities to celebrate Krishna Janamashtami. As a part of the celebrations, the Josephians from all blocks presented their vibrant and colourful matkis and jhulas. The flutes were exquisitely decorated with delicate beads, glittering stones, lace and ribbons. A colourful dance performance by KG teachers dressed up as Krishna, Radha and Gopikas added to the festivity. In the Secondary block, the students showcased the life of Lord Krishna and some awe-inspiring moments of his life. The priceless milestones of Lord Krishna’s life were deftly captured and brought to life on canvas by the young artists.

The teachers highlighted the significance of this auspicious day by stressing on the relevance of Lord Krishna’s teachings, especially with the challenging times that one is witnessing. The Principal Monica Chawla blessed all the students on this important day and gave children the message to always look ahead instead of dwelling in the past. Her words summed up the true significance of celebrating a festival where the sacred deity is worshipped for his excellent leadership qualities and wisdom imparted for all of humanity.
