St. Joseph’s  Sr. Sec . School, Sector 44 , celebrated  it’s 40th Founder’s Day on the 21st of September . The day is commemorated  in Honour of it’s Founder member, Smt. Harjinder  Kaur, a much loved and admired person in the Josephian family  who, apart from being an inspiration to many ,brought the school to great heights with her Vision . It has been her strong belief that excellence is the result of high intentions , sincere efforts , intelligent direction and skilful execution .  Smt. Harjinder  was showered with  much affection by her Josephian  family .The  visibly touched  Founder lady was most grateful for the bountiful of wishes that she received  on her special day.  It is in these 40 years, that the school has dedicated itself to instilling the very best in quality education, to ensure that students  excel  in academics  and also pursue their interests  outside the classroom . The parents on the other hand, have time and again entrusted their  faith in the able hands of the teaching faculty. Indeed, in the Noblest of professions known to the civilized world , it is the teaching fraternity ,which has worked tirelessly under the guidance and  leadership of the Principal Ms. Monica Chawla , to bring the school to this esteemed position and striven  towards achieving even  greater milestones.

The day began with the hoisting of the School Flag  , symbolizing the continuity of the illustrious name of St. Joseph’s and in reaching even greater heights in the years to come . The day was special for students too as they sang their school anthem online with immense pride in their hearts. They also made special videos on what Founder’s day meant to them. To recognize and appreciate the distinguished services  of teachers  and for driving it towards excellence , the Management members  honoured the teaching faculty by awarding the Mentors with a token of Gratitude for serving for more than 30/20/15 years . The Alma Mater  extended their warm wishes and sent  touching messages on this occasion. A lively and fun filled entertainment  programme was also kept for the staff members .

To celebrate the illustrious  journey of the  magnificient four decades , the school took upon itself to do charity work, for it believes, that the” smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention” .The members of the  Philanthrophic  club visited numerous organizations like – the School for Blind, Maharishi Dayanand  Balashram Old Age Home and the Aashray NGO. It is here that eatables , masks , sanitizers , stationery items were distributed.

The Members of the Management  and the Principal Ms. Monica Chawla, conveyed  their best wishes to everyone connected with this great Institution. In their message they spoke of this day, being an opportunity to delve  into the aspirations of the parents and students  and, to reflect on the forty years of growth , grit and greatness . It was also a moment to celebrate all that the school has achieved and to continue to work with sincerity and living up to its motto of serving ‘God and Country’. The 21st of September , will  be a reminder to continue to pursue with dedication as, success is never final .
