‘Diversity is not about how we differ, diversity is about embracing one another’s uniqueness.’

The Middle Block of St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School celebrated the cultural diversity and heritage of India in order to commemorate the National Unity Day by inviting schools under the Hubs of Learning for an inter school competition at St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School. The students from various schools took part in the event with full fervor and enthusiasm.
Dressed up as eminent personalities from different states of the country, the students shed light upon the diverse cultures across the nation with elaborate use of props, costumes and oratory skills.
It was a spectacular display of grandeur and splendor celebrating the uniqueness of each state, sending across the message that though we are different, we are all one at heart, sharing same beliefs. Quoting the gems of their state and sharing anecdotes that define the identity of their state, the students left the audience enlightened and enthralled.
The specially curated activity by ‘Hubs of Learning’ brought various schools together to engage into a knowledge exchange in a creative set up which turned out to be a stupendous success.
The event culminated with cheer and joy as Ms. Monica Chawla, Principal of the school felicitated the winners of the various competitions held under the ‘Hubs of Learning’ during the month of October and inter-school competition named ‘Celebrating Unity Through Cultural Diversity’. The winners of the inter school competition were Bhawna and Kushagra of Divya Public School, Chandigarh bagging the first and the second position respectively and Nandini of Govt.
