Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him and calls the adventure Science. – Edwin Powell Hubble
To bridge the gap and equip the students of the current generation with new-age technologies, seminars and workshops play an imperative role. National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) organizes the ‘Student’s Science Seminar’ every year. The objective of the Seminar is to inculcate a spirit of scientific enquiry and analytical thinking in the minds of young students. It is organized in collaboration with Education Departments and Department of Science & Technology, on a competitive basis in each State and Union Territory of the Country. It’s theme this time is “Boosting Immunity – Prospects & Challenges”.
The seminar was successfully conducted at Middle Block, St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Chandigarh, with zealous young Science wizards coming forward and exhibiting their talent of enquiry and knowledge about the topic through PPT’s and Posters curated by them. A Multiple Choice test was conducted too at the beginning of the session to know the knowledge and learning gained by the participants. Poorvika of Class Xth bagged the first position and will be representing the school further at the State Level.
Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla, applauded the participants for putting in their sweat and toil in the event and making it a success.
