St. Joseph’s leads the hallway as the National Achiever of Exemplary Performance School Award at the GRIHA event

St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44D romped its victorious lead in India’s green building rating system under the category of ‘Existing Day Schools’ by the Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) council. The school was decorated with the esteemed felicitation by Hon’ble Minister Shri. Bhupendra Yadav (Environment, Forest & Climate Change & Ministry of Labour Employment, Government of India) at the Indian Habitat Centre (New Delhi).
It is second time in the row that the school has bagged this prestigious award as it stood second in the previous year also. It is a strong reflection of the efforts and vision of the school to thrive towards excellence.
The theme of this year’s event was – “Restoring Green Economy” aiming to generate a dialogue about taking decisive steps to go beyond the conventional practices and measure its inclusiveness of green development. The school has always looked ahead to implement the same in the classrooms by offering an enriched learning environment where educators are regularly upgraded through diverse enhancement programs, training, research and development, and peer teaching strategies. The exchange programs practiced as the green and sustainable living do not only let students emerge as helpers to each other but also invite the change, cultivate it, start practicing it, as well as own it in their respective classrooms. It further reaps the benefit of bringing a stark rise in the student’s learning curve and successful restoration.
The Members of Management, Mr. Sukhdeep and Mr. Paramdeep praised the efforts of all the stakeholders as a culture like this is shaped by like-minded people with consistent efforts only. They said that great things happen through great commitments and this achievement will surely leave a bigger impact on our present as well as future.
The Principal expressing her gratitude to the Members of the Management and diligent teachers and students said that the contribution to making the school stand poised on this pedestal will have a far-reaching output. Madam said that; All it takes is one lamp to say “I challenge this darkness” and we are trying to turn each Josephites into a lamp spreading knowledge, skill, and virtue leading towards Greener Earth and sustainable living.
