The chief architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, was born on April 14, 1891 in Madhya Pradesh’s Mhowand is fondly called ‘Babasaheb’ by his followers to acknowledge his gratitude. By writing the Indian Constitution, he not only broke the social conventions meant for Hindu Shudras to emulate caste supremacists , changed their mindsets and urged them to educate and fight for their rights and gave equal rights to all but also ended the monopoly of Hindu higher classes in education, military, trade, social standards who deemed themselves as superior to Shudras or the untouchables.
To mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar, students of Middle Block, St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Chandigarh, took charge of few assorted activities to remember Babasaheb and his teachings. Students came forward with amazing videos with mixture of matching backdrops and students relating to his life and teachings. Many also shared and displayed beautifully curated posters with slogans and quotes given by Dr. Ambedkar himself.
Finally, Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla, applauded the endless efforts of the students and their teachers and and made them aware how important are Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions for our country.
